•    B. Tech / BE/ M. Sc students can get admission in to M. Tech along with scholarships.
•    By securing a good score in GATE, one can be eligible for PhD course.
•    Those who secure a rank below 400 in GATE, can get admission in to M. Tech course at IIT, IISCs. Getting a rank between 400 to 1000 will enable the candidates to get a seat in M. Tech course at National institute of Technology, and University colleges.
•    One can be eligible to get JRF award, when he or she gets qualified in GATE.
•    There is chance to get a job in government sector companies based on GATE score.
Other benefits of appearing for GATE exam
•    GATE exam is not restricted for M. Tech admission only. Preparing GATE syllabus will help engineering students for BSNL (JTO), DRDO, BHEL, IES, APGENCO, APTRANSCO and others.
•    Don’t focus on the rank to be secured in the GATE exam. Candidates scoring 60 to 80 marks can get better rank. Regarding ECI, first ranker of GATE has scored 79 marks. Hence it is better to focus on subject while preparing, rather than focusing on rank.
