AP Govt raises upper age limit for government jobs

State government of Andhra Pradesh has raised upper age limit for government jobs to 36 years from 34 years. The official orders  have been issued on 1.1.2012 to this effect. With the wake of these incidents, the recruitment schedule of Revenue posts will also be changed. It is known that the last date of receiving applications for Village Revenue Officers and Village Revenue Assistant – VRO, VRA posts was 29th December, 2012. Upper age limit raise is also applicable to these posts and so eligible candidates will be given an opportunity to apply for VRO, VRA posts. A supplementary notification will be issued in all districts. Candidates who have already sent their applications need not submit their applications once again. Authorities are stating that the Revenue recruitment schedule will have to be changed for reasons like ten to fifteen days time has to be given for candidates to send their applications, allotment of exam centers, download of online hall tickets and time has to given for new applicants to prepare for the exam. The GO has stated that the upper age limit raise rule will be applicable to all the recruitment notification released from July, 2011. Therefore it is compulsory that a supplementary notification is given stating the extension of last date of receiving applications for VRO, VRA posts. A higher official has stated that clarity about recruitment schedule can be getting in two days.

The upper age limit raise will be applicable to all the recruitment notification released between 1st July, 2011 and 31st March, 2012. But will not be applicable to uniform services like Police, excise, Fire and Jails departments. This notification will be applicable to all the recruitment notifications whose last date of receiving applications is closed but the exam has not been conducted.
