Application Process of CBEE-2011 | Important Dates and Useful Books for CBEE-2011

Qualifications and Method of Application for CBEE-2011

  • The candidates must have 55% of marks either in M.Sc biotechnology, M.Sc Agri/ veterinary science courses with 10+2+3 methodology for biological/ physical/ agricultural/ veterinary and fisheries sciences. The candidates who studied four years BS in pharmacy/ engineering/ technology or   MBBS/ BDS are eligible.
  • The candidates, who qualified in degree after 2009, are eligible. The candidates, who qualified before 2009, are not eligible. The students who are appearing for the final year exams are also eligible.
  • Besides M.Sc biotechnology, some other universities are also considering JNU Biotech entrance for admitting students into  courses like M.Tech biotechnology, M.Sc agriculture biotechnology; veterinary biotechnology.  Qualification for various courses like veterinary science, M.Tech courses will be different.

 

Important dates for CBEE-2011

  • The issue of applications through post begins from February 7th and end on March 10th, 2011 and if it is through cash the last date is March 21st, 2011
  • The last date for the submission of applications is March 21st, 2011
  • Entrance examination is on May 20th, 2011

  • The examination centers in Andhra Pradesh are Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vizag.
  • Besides Bio – technology JNU is also offering M.Sc (Life Sciences) and PhD programs.  The notification is released for these programs and the details are found in JNU website.

In order to apply for the M.Tech course the candidate must have B.Tech/B.E. (Chemical or Bio – Chemical Engineering / Industrial Bio – Technology / Leather Technology / Bio – Technology / Bio – Medical Engineering / Chemical Technology)/ B. Pharma or M.Sc (Bio – Technology/Bio – Chemistry/ Life sciences/ Botany/ Genetics / Bio – Physics / Microbial Genetics/ Bio – informatics).  For some of the universities additional qualifications are also important.  The details of those qualifications are available in JNU Website.
