How to apply for the NCRA examination? | Single window for admission and job
The special class railway apprentice exam is the one which is conducted by the union public service commission with intermediate as eligibility. They can start their career as mechanical engineer in the railway department of they pass the exam. It is very easy to qualify this exam and they can get the job along with the mechanical engineer degree.
If they pass the exam:
They will conduct the interview for the candidates who qualified the exam and the interview is for 200 marks. The questions will be based on the bio-data and the interview is conducted in the presence of group of people. The test will be conducted to know the skills, leadership qualities, interest, specialties and mental abilities of the candidate. The candidate should practice the things in order to inculcate the qualities required and they should be very careful while deciding and saying the hobbies. They will generally ask the questions on the hobbies and so they should be careful while deciding the hobby and it is better to say the hobby in which they are interested.
Engineering degree from BITS:
The candidates who get qualified in the written exam and interview will be among the merit list of candidates and they enter the railway job. They are also near to the engineering degree and the candidates are given training with the apprentice in the railway workshops. They get the bachelor of engineering in mechanical as degree from the Birla institute of technology in Ranchi. They give the theoretical and practical training also. They will test the knowledge of the candidate during the four years of training and the candidate should write the exams in the 8 semesters. They should get 40% of marks in all exams and they should also get 60% of the marks in the performance report given by the director. They get the probationary job appointment as mechanical engineer in the railway department and the duration of this job is 18 months. They will conduct the online job classes in every semester and the students will take up the projects and do it on their own. This will help them in the future.
The candidates who are selected for the training in the railway workshop after the NCRA exam will also get the stipend. They get Rs.9100 every month for two years and in the third year, they get Rs.9400 for first six months. In the last six months, they get the stipend as Rs.9700.
The candidates those who qualify the exam and interview should compulsorily write the service exam and another person should give the surety on the agreement written by the candidate. The aim of the agreement is to take the surety that they will work in the Indian railway department after the apprentice program.
How to apply:
They should fill the common application form from the UPSC for those who want to attend the apprentice program. They should paste the CRFS stamp and they should get the stamp in the post office. They should send the application form to the UPSC main branch and the applications will be available in all the head post offices in all the areas.
NRCA information to apply
Eligibility: Intermediate with mathematics as one of the subjects.
Age: They should be between 17 to 21 years by august 1, 2010. There is reduction of 5 years for the SC candidates and 3 years of reduction for the BC candidates.
Fee: There is fee concession in the CRFS stamp for the women, SC, BC and handicapped candidates.
Last date for application: September 27, 2010.
Exam date: December 19, 2010.
