How to apply to the P.Hd courses in IIT-Bombay? | Details of the application to the IIT-Bombay for the P.Hd courses
The need of the human resource is increasing everyday and the popular institutes which recognized this problem are providing the P.Hd courses to encourage the students to do research. All the institutes from IITs to IISCs are providing these courses and so the IIT- Bombay had released the notification for the courses in various categories. The IIT-Bombay releases the notification twice a year and they are autumn semester and spring semester. The notification for the autumn semester will be released in March and the notification for the spring semester will be released in September. They are providing the opportunity for the candidates to do the research in the foreign universities.

Selection:
The selection is done based on the interview and if required they will conduct the written exam also. They will be given the assistantship and fellowship based on the MHRD regulations. The duration of the course is from two years to six years.

Eligibility:
They should pass the engineering in technology and science branches with 60% of marks or any other equivalent master degree with 60% marks. They should have the GATE/CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DPT score along with two years experience.

How to apply?
They should apply through online and they should take the print out of the application. They should attach the DD with Rs.300 which is valid in Mumbai and attach the purpose statement to it and send. They can apply to three departments at a time.

Spring semester information:
The last date for the online and offline applications: October 29, 2010.
Written exam, interview dates: December 7, 8, 9 2010.
Results: December 20th, 2010.
