B.Sc agriculture… Selection process, Course study, Job opportunities | What to do ater B.Sc agriculture

The students studying the agriculture courses are having bright future and they are job opportunities while studying only. There is great demand for the agriculture courses and the N.G ranga agricultural university is offering 4 years B.Sc (agriculture), food science and technology and agricultural engineering. The agricultural colleges are in bapatla in Guntur, vyra in srikakulam district, Rajahmundry in west Godavari, rajendra nagar in Hyderabad, aswaraopet in khammam, jagithyala in karimnagar, tirupathi in chittor and mahanandhi in Kurnool. The admissions in these 8 colleges are given for 800 students every year. The coaching is given to them in the agriculture study, research and extended fields. The forth deans committee had decided that the agriculture course should be same all over the country and 30% changes can be done in the syllabus based on the regions.

Selection process:

The admissions are given based on the EAMCET rank and when the notification is given by the university, the candidates should apply for the course. The admissions are given based on the rank in the EAMCET and their merit.

Course study:

The topics related in the course are agricultural products development, process of planting, chemical pesticides and their usage, worms, diseases with the small insects, craft physiology and other issues. There will be field work also.

Job opportunities:

The students who completed B.Sc (agriculture) can get the jobs in banks as field officer and rural development officers. They also get jobs in the chemicals, pesticides and fertilizer companies. They can work in the seeds company in seed production department and as marketing specialists. They can get the jobs in agri insurance companies and AP Agriculture Corporation limited. Not only these, they have the opportunities in the welfare organizations in watershed development field.

After B.Sc:

After completing B.Sc (agriculture), they can do M.Sc and they can get the opportunities in teaching department in the ICAR research company, agricultural universities and research centers. Those who want to do M.Sc can do in the agriculture colleges in Hyderabad, bapatla, tirupathi, vyra, aswaraopet and mahanandhi. Agronomy, soil science, plant breeding, entomology, agriculture economics, plant physiology, agricultural extension and agricultural biotechnology are the courses provided. Few of them who completed these courses are successful in the civils and they are working as IAS and IPS officers.

B.Sc commercial agro business management:

There is B.Sc agriculture management program in the rajendra nagar agriculture college. There are 40 seats and the inter candidates with MPC/BiPC are eligible.  This is self financed course and this is not related to the EAMCET rank. This is not only agriculture related course and 15% business accepts are also there. They can get the jobs in banks, fertilizer industries and seed industries.
