There is a trend among students and parents to join B. Sc if they don’t get seat in engineering, which they need to get rid off. There are many new subjects coming in sciences. One can build better career in life sciences by selecting core subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics and biotechnology. Science subject will give a bright career opportunity if one has patience and positive attitude towards career.

Biology students who join graduation can select physics, chemistry and biochemistry or genetics combination. If one gets command over these subjects at graduation level, it is easy to get into any specialization in later stages. Presently, many students are opting for biotechnology and microbiology subjects at graduation level. It is better to select them in B. Tech level rather than B. Sc level. When B. Sc and B. Tech students compete in job market, B. Tech students are likely to get more chances. Syllabus and training will be better in B. Tech biotechnology than B. Sc biotechnology.

Biotechnology, microbiology are applied subjects. When studying about these subjects, students need to have practical knowledge regarding industries. This kind of training may not be available at graduation and post graduation level. Keeping this in view, it is better to select biochemistry or genetics. Though traditional subjects like zoology and botany are also good, they lack as prominence as biochemistry and genetics in industries.

MPC students……

It is better for MPC students to select physics, chemistry along with computer science or electronics. In the later stages, there will be option to select any technical subject. There is much prominence for these subjects at advanced research level. There is also necessity for skilled computer graduates in every field. So, in the future there will be more opportunities for computer science and electronics graduates.
