Branchwise details of  Navy – UES | Eligibility, application process details of the courses in the navy?

The students studying the final year in engineering branch in any university can apply for the short service commission. They should be Indian citizens as declared by the government and they are selected in the technical/ executive departments on the university entry scheme. The course starts in July 2011 for these candidates.

Eligibility:

The minimum age of the candidates should be 18 and the maximum is 24 years. They should obtain 60% marks by the time of pre finals. The branch wise details:

Technical branch:

  1. Engineering branch: mechanical, marine, automotive, mechatronics, industrial production, metallurgy, aeronautics/ aero space (only males)
  2. Electrical branch: Electrical, electronics, tele communication, instrumentation, instrumentation and control, electronics and communication, power engineering, control system engineering, power electronics (only males)
  3. Naval architecture cadre: Mechanical, civil, aeronautical, metallurgy, naval architecture. (females and males)

Executive branch:

  1. General Service: Mechanical, marine, aeronautical, production, computer science engineering, information technology, control, electrical, electronics, tele communication (only males).
  2. logistics cadre: Mechanical, marine, aeronautical, production, computer science engineering, information technology, control, electrical, electronics, tele communication (females and males)

Application process:

The students should apply through A4 size sheet and they should write on the envelope that application for UES and name of the college & district (city) – state details. The completed applications should be sent only through normal posts.
