Central Police Organization Constable Vacancies | SSC Conducts Exam for Constable Post Recruitment

There are 49,070 constable vacancies in Central police Organization.  Recruitments will be held for BSF, CSIF, SASB and CRPF and some of the posts are allotted for Maoist affected districts.  Special vacancies allotted for Naxal affected areas to eradicate unemployment.  This is the first time that NASC has take up recruitments in such large numbers.  This will be publicized in the naxal affected areas so that candidates can utilize this opportunity.

Allocation of posts for various states

  • Of the total 49,070 files, Andhra Pradesh has been allotted 6,609 posts.  3,728 posts in the total quota for Andhra Pradesh have been allotted to 16 districts.  These posts will be filled with the candidates belonging to Warangal, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Khammam, Medak, Nalgonda, Guntur, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Prakasam, Anantapuram, Kurnool, Vijayanagaram, East Godavari and Srikakulam districts. Candidates belonging to naxal affected districts can also compete for vacancies in general category.
  • Recruitment notification has been released on 5th February, 2011.  A pass in matriculation/SSC is the eligibility for the candidates to appear for the exam.  Selection will be based on 5kms run and physical fitness tests.  Written exam will be held by Staff Selection Commission on 1st May, 2011.  Exam will be conducted in Hindi and English and the exam centers in Andhra Pradesh are Hyderabad, Guntur, Kurnool, Rajahmundry and Tirupati.
  • Applications are to send only through online mode.  Applications can be downloaded from http:// ssc.nic.in. Recruitment process will be completed within six months.

Number of vacancies may increase from the present 49,070 to an additional 15,000.  Number of posts allotted for Andhra Pradesh may also become 10,000 instead of 6,909.  5,000 posts will be filled in Tibet Battalion police and Assam Rifles category.  Recruitment process for this category may take 9 months.  Total number of posts may reach 70 – 80 thousand by the time recruitments in all categories are completed.
