APPSC Civil Assistant Surgeon Exam



Total number of vacancies of Civil Assistant Surgeons in AP Insurance and Medical Services are 319.      Recruitment exam will be conducted by APPSC on 8th August, 2012.      Candidates who passed MBBS are eligible to apply.      They also should have a recognition of Registered Medical Practitioner.

Pay scale for Civil Assistant Surgeon in AP Insurance and Medical Service posts will be Rs. 20,680 to 49,960. Candidates, who are aged between 18 and 36 years as on 1st July, 2011 are eligible to apply for the posts.      Selection will be based on written test.      There will not be any interview.

Written test for Civil Assistant Surgeons in AP Insurance and Medical Services will have two papers.      One is general studies paper in which 150 questions will be asked.      The candidates have to answer this paper in 150 minutes.      Paper – 2 is Medical science and General medicine paper which will also has 150 questions for 300 marks.      Time given is 150 minutes.

Syllabus for Civil Assistant Surgeon Exam

For Medical Science and General Medicine paper candidates who are appearing for Civil Assistant Surgeon exam should study human anatomy, human body, functioning of various organs, biochemistry, Pharmacology, toxicology etc.      Various diseases, treatments, using of medicines and reactions, preventive measures etc topics are also important.

Applications for Civil Assistant Surgeon should be sent online between 18th May, 2012 and 18th June, 2012.      The fee for the exam has to be paid on or before 16th June, 2012.
