Common entrance for the admission in to central universities | Instead of different entrance tests, a single common entrance test to be introduced for central universities
Central government is of opinion to conduct a common entrance test for the 22 central universities of the nation. Since applicants are suffering from expenses and efforts in attempting entrance tests conducted by each central university, committee under the leadership of vice chancellors of central universities is advising the central government to conduct a common entrance test. Vice chancellors of all these universities have expressed the same opinion. For giving admission in to bachelor degree courses, marks scored in 12th class or its equivalent will be considered along with the rank in common entrance test. In the same way, for giving admission in to PG courses, marks scored in bachelor degree will be considered along with the rank in common entrance test.
