Many researchers look after to do their research in some of the specific institutions and to provide an opportunity for such program the NET exam which is conducted jointly by the CSIR and the UGC is very important. The notification is released for the NET exam which is going to be conducted on June 20, 2010.how-to-apply

The NET exam provides an opportunity to appear for the research programs in various famous research centers all over the country. In the same way the NET qualification is also useful as the important qualification for the lecturer post in the colleges. That is the reason why the candidates who are appearing for the exam can apply for both the JRF which means junior research fellowship and lectureship. There is also an opportunity only to apply for the lectureship post. The results of the examination are declared in the month of November/ December 2010.

NET Model question Paper pattern: The test will be conducted on the topics like chemical science, earth atmospheric and planetary sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences and in the physical sciences. There are in total two papers in the test. The first paper is conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm which consists of 200 marks and the second paper is conducted from 2pm to 4.30 in the evening which is for 200 marks. In paper 1 there are two sections and there is a negative marking for the exam for each wrong answer. If and only the candidate is eligible in the CSIR marks then only the second paper is valuated.

In the same way the candidate who did not appear for the first paper is not allowed to appear for the second paper exam. The two papers will be in the English and Hindi languages. The syllabus which is given for the exam is found in the website www. csirhrhd.res.in. The candidates who passed the MSc or its equivalent subjects with a minimum of 55% score is eligible to appear for the exam.

The candidates who are appearing for their final year or last two year semesters are also eligible to write this exam. The candidate should attain 19 years of age and should not exceed 28 years to appear for the GRF. There is no age consideration for the candidates who are appearing for the lecturer ship. The exam is conducted around 25 cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar.

The cost of the Bulletin is Rs. 400/- for the general candidates and for the SC/ St candidates the cost of the bulletin is Rs.100/- and Rs.200/- in case of OBC’s. the interested candidates have to apply for the exam by taking a DD of the respective amounts based on the categories in favor of Indian bank, 3/1 west Patel road, New Delhi- 110008 payable at New Delhi on or before 17th of March of this month.

In AP state, the applications are available at the selective Indian bank counters at Hyderabad, Guntur, Vijayawada, Karimnagar, Tirupathi and Warangal. Even the applications can be submitted through online. The last date for the submission of the filled applications is March 23, 2010.
