Details of entrance exam conducted for MA courses in IIT | Part 1 and Part 2 papers analysis of HSEE exam
HSEE â€“ 2011 is a three hours exam and there will be two parts in the exam. Exam will be conducted in English medium only and Hyderabad is only the examination center in Andhra Pradesh.
Part 1 in HSEE exam
There will be objective questions in part 1 and this paper should be attempted in 2 Â½ hours. This exam is conducted online. There will be questions from various parts like English and comprehension skills, analytical and quantitative ability, general studies and environmental awareness.
English and comprehension skills in HSEE exam
There will be 25% of the questions in this part and questions will be asked on reading skills, vocabulary and grammar.
Analytical and quantitative ability
25% of the questions are asked from this category and they will be based on numbers, algebra, averages, profits and loss, percentages, simple interest, compound interest, time- work, discount etc.
General studies in HSEE
Questions in this part will be based on Indian independence struggle, financial field in India, main goals, problems, five year plans and their problems, Indian society, present world issues from second world war, international business, development of various fields, poverty, population etc.
Environmental awareness in HSEE
Increase in population, reduction of land, changes in world environment, pollution, global warming, international deals, usage of solar energy, hydro electricity, wind energy, biomass energy etc are the topics from which questions are asked.
Part 2 in HSEE
This is a written exam which is conducted for 30 minutes and students should answer essay type questions. Generally current affairs and general knowledge based questions are asked to test the knowledge of the candidate.
