There are two parts in radiography course. They are diagnostic and therapist. Diagnostic radiographer will explain the process to the patient who came for the examination and they will make him ready for the treatment. Their duty is to maintain the records along with operating the radiography devices and to maintain them. Diagnostic radiographers are very helpful while the doctors are performing the Milogram test. In operation theatre they should help the doctors in operating portable x-ray, fluoroscopic machine. Therapic radiography is also called radiography and this is used in detecting and treatment of the diseases like cancer, tumor etc. special experts are required for radiography and they should control the devices to particular radiations for diseases like tumor. Oncology department people will work along with doctors in treating the people with cancer diseases.

Courses- eligibility:

The radiology course comes under paramedical courses and students who join in this course should be interested in biology, physiology and anatomy subjects. As a part of the course they will also teach how to behave in hospital atmosphere. There are certificate/diploma, graduate and post graduate courses in radiology.

  • B.Sc in medical technology in radiography.

Eligibility:

They should qualify inter or equivalent in mathematics, physics and chemistry. All India instititue of medical sciences in aptholmic techniques and medical technology in B.Sc is providing this course. Inspite on certificate/diploma, those who have completed graduation are getting good opportunities in this field.
