One has to note that the age of the candidate should be more than 17 years compulsorily. As on 31st December of admission-taking year, the candidate should have completed 17 years of age.

Due to this rule, many students who have got meritorious rank in medical division are not able to get seat. Candidates who have born after 31st December 1994 or in 1995 are not eligible for appearing for EAMCET examination to be conducted in 2011. They cannot get admission in to MBBS, Agricultural and Pharma-D courses in 2011. There is no chance of giving exemption to this rule, under any circumstances. Biology students have to note this rule compulsorily.

One has to consider age as on 31st December 2011, for the students getting admitted this year (2011). Since this rule is given by Medical Council of India (MCI), state government has no chance to change it.

Students who want to enter in to B. Pharm course should have minimum age of 16 years. There is no limit on maximum age. Hence, this rule will not be a trouble for students in any way.
