Enrolling for obtaining Aadhar Identification Number | Identity proof for applying to Aadhar cards
The following details are to be provided to get an Aadhar Unique Identification Number. Those are name, date of birth, sex, address and also the biometric details of the person like photo of his face, finger prints and iris of two eyes. Special centers are set up to take the biometric details of the applicants in every ward. Applications can be obtained from the dealer of ration shop. Application can also be downloaded from www. aadhaar.ap.gov.in. Applications can be filled online. Filled in application or a receipt that is obtained from filling in the application online along with all the required certificates should be submitted at the nearest Aadhar enrolment camp.
Identity proof for applying for Aadhar cards
Ration card, passport, PAN card, voter card, driving license, photo identity card, NREGS job card, photo identity card issued by a recognized educational institution, Bank ATM card, credit card with photo, Kissan Photo pass book, Address card issued by postal department and residence proof issued on the letter head of any gazetted officer can be submitted as an identity proof to obtain an Aadhar card.
Details of the applicants are sent to Central Identities Data Repository for de-duplicating and to allot a unique identity number. Then the card is posted to the address mentioned in the application.
Things to Remember
- Unique identity number is issued only once in the life of a person. Biometric details of children are updated for every five years till they reach the age of 15 years.
- Biometric details of physically challenged persons are taken as per the guidelines.
- Address and other personal details of a particular person have a chance to change so these details can be updated if necessary.
- Details provided at the time of enrolment can also be changed if there is a mistake.
