Exam pattern of Degree Lecturers Competitive Examination | Analysis of Paper I & II and Interview
The mode of examination for the recruitment of Degree lecturers will be in Objective form which contains multiple choice questions. There will be two question papers in the examinations. The first paper is general studies. This is common for candidates of all subjects. 150 marks will be awarded for 150 questions. 7. Reasoning and Arithmetic

9. Science and Technology
A deep go through on all of the above is needed. It is enough for the candidates to revise once again what they have already prepared for those who have prepared for Group-1 preliminaries or Group-2 general studies.
But those who are beginners should concentrate mainly Polity and then History. A total of 50 questions can be expected from both these subjects alone. Regarding these fields candidates have to refer the text books of 8, 9,10th standards, Intermediate and Degree level publications of Telugu Academy and text books of distance education from Ambedkar Open University.
As nothing can be expected to be neglected, one should have deep understanding on all the aspects.
The candidates of Arts should focus on Science, Current affairs, and mental ability.
Candidates of Science should thoroughly prepare for Polity, History, Economy, and reasoning.
The previous question papers for the recruitment of Group-1, Group-2, J.L, Deputy D.E.O, and Gazetted officers will help to draw a sketch on the way of questioning and the level of difficulty.
Current affairs of 1 year from the date of notification should be studied particularly.
In the previous papers of degree lecturers a total of 10 questions have been asked on English. Mainly the questions are based on Antonyms and Synonyms. Hence fluency in English is must.

Candidate should work very hard on all the above. Each and every mark in general studies will have greater impact. Only General studies paper will lead the candidate to the destiny. The eligibility for the interview in based on this paper.
Second Paper (Subject Paper)
The candidates choose the subject for this paper basing on their PG. 300 marks will be awarded for 150 questions in total. Two marks for each question. More score should be gained from this paper.
Generally candidates will neglect this paper by wrongly assuming this as simplest. Don’t forget that even the mildest negligence will lead to greater damage. Normally everyone will assume that it is enough to focus on degree textbooks since these are exams for the post of Degree Lecturers. Only the candidates having thorough knowledge of P.G books along with degree textbooks and each and every textbook from basic standards will be succeeded in the examination.
Preparation of previous question papers of J.L, D.L, SLET, NET, C.S, I.R are enough to be succeeded.
The lecturers of colleges will teach there in orations way. They write long research essays on the subject. But in this exam questions basing on multiple answer type only are asked. Thorough knowledge of every subject is important.
Candidates will be called for interview basing on the total marks they secure in Paper-1, Paper-ii (out of 450 marks) in the ratio of 1:3. Reservations are all considered. 50 marks will be awarded for interview in total. On testing the skills of the candidates in various angles, the selection for Degree lecturers will be done.
By having specific aims, self confidence, necessary guidelines, and a restless hard work from the beginning of the preparation till the completion of the selection procedure, the victory will be easy for anyone.
