Fee reimbursement website problems

 online-ePass website

Students who are applying for tuition fee reimbursement scheme are facing many problems. Though having the eligibilities for fee reimbursement, many students may not be able to get benefit from the program. Students have to send their applications online through ePass website. The details of tenth class have to be entered first. Only then the application form for fee reimbursement scheme will appear on the screen. But ePass website is not accepting the tenth class details. With this students who are applying for tuition fee reimbursement scheme for the first time are getting worried. Authorities are saying that the reason for this problem is that the SSC details of the students are not updated in the ePass website. They are also saying the SSC board authorities have not given the details of students who passed SSC seven years back and earlier. Therefore the details have not been updated.

Even if the students can save the tenth class details in the ePass website for fee reimbursement, certificate uploading is also becoming a problem. Certificates which are issued before 1st July, 2011 are not being accepted by the website. Lakhs of students are coming along with income proof certificates for attending the counseling to join in various courses. But uploading the certificates is not being possible in ePass website.

PMU office which supervises the tuition fee reimbursement scheme in Andhra Pradesh received more than 200 phone call complaints on a single day which shows the severity of the problem. In addition to this, students who have taken admission in new colleges that got the permission in this academic year are not able to obtain online information of various colleges. As a result they are not even able to apply for scholarships. Due to all the above problems, only 7,500 applications have been received till now. Authorities are estimating that nearly 13 lakh students may send their applications. There is only 13days left for the last date. If the website problems continue like this lakhs of students who are eligible may not get benefit from fee reimbursement scheme.
