GPAT 2012 exam pattern and changes

 

Pharmacy sector is the most happening industry now in India. Many job opportunities are available for the candidates who have completed B.Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy. There is a he requirement of skilled candidates in pharmacy sector and so pharma companies are inviting candidates who are talented. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test – GPAT is the way to pursue masters’ course in pharmacy education. Through GPAT score, candidates can obtain admission into post graduate courses in prestigious universities and institutes in India. Notification for GPAT 2012 has already been issued.

GPAT 2012 Exam pattern

GPAT 2012 will be of three hours duration and there will be 150 questions in multiple choice method. Total marks allotted are 450 and that means each question carried three marks. There is 1/3rd negative marking for every wrong answer.

GPAT 2012 important dates

GPAT 2012 is conducted by MS university of Baroda. Candidates have to send their applications online from 14th January to 20th February, 2012. Last date for receiving printouts of application is 27th February, 2012. GPAT 2012 will be conducted on 6th May, 2012. Results will be announced on 31st May, 2012.

GPAT 2012 will be conducted in Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad, Guntur, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Warangal centers.

Candidates who wish to apply for GPAT 2012 should have completed four year B.Pharmacy course after Intermediate. Candidates who are studying B.Pharmacy final year as on 2012 are also eligible to apply. Only online applications are accepted and these should not be sent directly.

Recent Changes in GPAT 2012

GPAT was first introduced in the year 2012 and every year few changes are being done to the syllabus and exam pattern of GPAT. Few changes have also been made for GAPT 2012.

  • Application procedure, admit cards issue will be done only online.
  • Qualified candidates will be divided into two categories. First category candidates will stand in upper merit list. These candidates will get M.Pharmacy admission in most prestigious colleges and will be given scholarship or fellowship. This facility will be available for them for 24 months. Second category candidates will only be eligible for admission into M.Pharmacy courses. These candidates will not get any scholarships
