The interest rates of IOB are going to increase by ½%. From 23rd of August, the Benchmark Prime Lending Rate is going to be 12.5%. This decision will not affect the interest rates of housing loans. But the auto and corporate loan rates which has a relation with the BPRL will be increased. On the lines of State Bank of India and ICICI bank, Indian Overseas Bank also increased BPRL to 50 basis points.
