Essay writing has become important in entrance exams. Recently major institutions like IIM Bangalore, Lucknow etc are giving equal importance to group discussions and essays.
Now essay writing is compulsory in entrance exam for the year 2010-2012. We will see how to write an essay. First we should study the topics to the depth. Introduction should be strong and if it is not so interesting people correcting the paper will form a low opinion. It is every important to start an essay with a quotation. It will be very easy to start and it attracts the people who read it. We should try to write the main point in short and effectively. It is good to give the details of the next topic at the end of previous one. It is better to use words like ‘but’, ‘so’, ‘even though’, in order to express an opinion. The ending of an essay is also very important. It creates an impression on the reader if it is so effective. When there is no strong point in the ending it is considered as incomplete article.
Writing of an essay should be very simple and short. It attracts the reader when it is in this way. It is better to see that there are no grammar mistakes, letters and language mistakes. First we should write some essays and someone to correct in order to know the mistakes.
