IIT Combined entrance test – results of IIT -2010 are to be released on 25th May
Small mishaps have taken place in the IIT common entrance test conducted nationwide on 11th April 2010. Printing mistakes and mistakes in OMR sheet have lead to confusion. When compared to physics and chemistry questions in mathematics are above the standard of CBSE syllabus, according to some of the students. Because of increase in number of questions than last year and the questions in mathematics being lengthy and confusions, students couldn’t find time for answering total question paper. Questions in mathematics are easier in the morning session than the afternoon session while questions in physics and chemistry are easier in the afternoon session than the morning session. Experts are of opinion that physics and chemistry papers will decide the results. Nearly 55 thousand students have appeared for the test from Andhra Pradesh. Examination centres are allotted in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Tirupati and Warangal cities. Results will be released on 25th of May.
There is an increase in number of students appearing for the test by 70, 000 than the last year. Successful candidates will get admission into B.Tech course offered in 15 IITs, ISM Dhanbad and IT- BHU. It is noticeable that 90, 000 students have registered their names from north India which is under supervision of IIT- Delhi.
