IIT JMET details for Management Courses | JMET cutoff marks

The Bangalore management program is conducted by the IIT and IISC and they can get the admission in the program by writing the joint management entrance test. They should have the engineering degree or any PG degree to write the entrance. The final year candidates are also eligible. There will be four categories in the JMET entrance exam and they are quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, logical reasoning and verbal ability. The paper is for 120 marks and the duration of the exam is 3 hours. There will be one mark for each question and 0.25 marks will be cut for the wrong answer.

  • In quantitative ability, there will be more questions from arithmetic, algebra and geometry. Even though the syllabus contains the topics like vectors, calculus, statistics etc there will be less number of questions from these topics.
  • The logical reasoning and verbal ability sections are somewhat difficult in the JMET-2009 paper. The quantitative aptitude and data interpretation sections are easy and there are questions based on the logical deductions, inductive reasoning, coding and decoding and blood relations.
  • They should apply through online only for the JMET exam and they should apply before October 8th. The exam date is December 12th, 2010.
