Indian National Anthem Facts


Ravindranath Tagore who is called as Universal Poet had written our national anthem which is Janagana Mana.  This song was sung first time around an hundred years ago at Indian National Congress meeting in 27th December, 1911 conducted at Calcutta and then onwards crores of Indians are attracted with this song.

After the independence, this song is recognized as a national anthem on 24th January, 1950 by the Indian constitution.  There are in total 5 stanzas in the national anthem and among those 5 stanzas only the first one is considered as National Anthem.  To sing the first stanza it takes around 52 seconds.  The specialty of this national anthem is that even after hundred years the Indian youth is getting excited to sing this song.
