Indian women in the Forbes list of top 100 business people | Michelle Obama is in top position in the Forbes magazine top 100 powerful women
The Forbes magazine had released the list of the top 100 women and there are three women from India in list. They are Pepsi Co. Indra Nooyi who is in sixth position, Sikha Sarma who is Axis bank CEO is in 89th position and Chanda Kochar who is ICICI bank CEO in 92nd position. The Michelle Obama wife of Barack Obama is in the first position. The Forbes magazine had divided in to four categories like politics, business, media and life style. These three women had bagged the places in the business category also. Â There are 39 members in the list and Irene Rosenfeld is in the first position. Nooyi is in the second position, Sikha Sarma in 33rd position and Kochar in 35th position.
The Pepsi company is spending 61.5 crores on advertising and they are spending two crore rupees in the service to the people. This credit is Nooyiâ€™s and she had the opinion of removing the restrictions between advertisements and service. The axis bank CEO overcame the challenges and she decided to take the bank in to greater heights. She will concentrate on the implementation of the broking platform and spreading it internationally. She had completed first year of service in the three years service. The axis bank had got 54.25 crores of profit in 2009-2010 and 16 crores in the first semester. Kochar is the first women who are maintaining the biggest private bank. They had bought the bank of Rajasthan recently.
