Two varieties of mobilephones are available in the market now. One is without QWERTY keyboard and the the other with QWERTY key board (Black berry model). These phones are available with normal and digital cameras up to 3.2 mega pixel capacity .Memory is 2 GB to 8 GB.  Common features are FM Radio, MP3 player, video recording, GPRS, Blue tooth, call recording.  With the competition in the market, the companies are slashing the prices of mobile phones and the customer is the beneficiary.

Business people and students are showing interest in the dual sim phones.   As these people use both post paid and pre paid Sims and find it difficult to carry two phones for the two Sims.

New features

Call waiting option is available only in the dual sim mobile phones introduced by Samsung.  If there is an incoming call from the second sim while attending a call from the first sim, this option keeps the second call in waiting.  The first call can be kept on hold to receive the call from second sim.  Two models from the Spice Company QT66, QT55 also have two memory card slots.  The specialty of Videocon Company is that all the models released by this company are dual sim mobiles.  The company has no past history of manufacturing single sim phones.  Sony Ericsson has not introduced any dual sim model. Many national companies like Micromax and Karbonn are also introducing dual mobile phones with more and more features and less prices to attract customers.
