LIC AAO – New opportunity for graduates | Different posts, eligibility norms and application procedure for LIC AAO jobs

New opportunity is welcoming freshers who have completed bachelor degree or those who are in search of job and those who are preparing for competitive exams. Life Insurance corporation which is owned by government of India, has released notification for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO). Those details are as follows.

Total number of vacancies for LIC AAO posts are 250

LIC is going to fill up 250 vacancies for the post of AAO (Generalists) through this notification. Candidates having bachelor degree or masters degree with at least 55% marks (this is 45% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible. Through the same notification, LIC is going to recruit for AAO (company secretary), AAO (Chartered Accountant) and AAO (Legal) posts also. There are 100 vacancies for AAO (chartered accountant) post, 20 vacancies for AAO (Legal) and 5 vacancies for AAO (company secretary). Candidates having ICAI associate membership are eligible  for AAO chartered accountant job. Those who are having LLB degree with at least 50% marks are eligible for AAO Legal jobs. ICSI associate membership is prescribed as eligibility for AAO company secretary job. Written test and interview will be conducted for the selection of candidates. Those who perform well in both these tests, are listed in merit list and will be given appointment.

How to apply for AAO jobs offered by LIC?

Application procedure for AAO jobs can be done completely online. Applications in other modes are not accepted. Before applying online, candidates have to pay the fee of Rs. 400 and have to keep receipt with them. This fee has to be paid in the specified LIC branch / division/ zone offices/ zonal training centers only.

Details of LIC AAO (Generalist) recruitment

There are 250 number of vacancies. Pay scale is Rs. 17,240 – 840 (14) – 29,00 – 910 (4) 32,640.  Age  of the candidate should be between 21 years to 30 years as of 1st November 2010. There is exception for reserved category candidates with regard to age limits, according to the government regulations.

Online applications are accepted between 22nd November to 14th December 2010. Fee payments at specified LIC  branches are accepted between 22nd November to 13th December 2010. Written test will be conducted on 27th February 2011.
