On 15 January 2010, the longest Solar Eclipse will be done. The total duration of this Solar Eclipse is 11 min 8 sec. As full solar eclipse, we can’t see like diamond ring, but we can see as a ring. this is happening because of the Moon lies at far away from Earth. If the Moon is nearer to Earth, there will not be any space to the Sun rays to reach the Earth. But due to Moon at far away distance from Earth will have chance to the Sun rays to reach Earth.

This type of Annular Solar eclipse formation occurs very rare. In India, it happened latest on 1965 November 22, when the Pakistan and India war was going on.

Again Indians can see this type of Solar Eclipse on 2020 June 21 only.

The Solar Eclipse on 15 January 2010, will not be visibe in all places of India. Only South Indians can see this. It will appear partially in other places.

This rare Annular solar eclipse at after noon will be visible clearly at Kerala, Tamilnadu and Mizoram states.
