Maharastra Assembly Elections 2009: Exit Poll results

Elections to Maharastra were held on 13th October 2009 and the counting of votes begins on 22nd October 2009 and the results are expected to be released by evening of October 2009.  Congress , NCP, BJP, Shiv sena and MNS ( Maharastra Navnirman Sena) are the main contetsanting political parties for the Maharastra assembly elections 2009. Congress and NCP allies are likely to get majority and form the government in Maharastra state.

IBN Lokmat and CNN- IBN have conducted exit poll survey for the maharastra assembly elections. The results of the IBN Lokmat and CNN- IBN is as follows:

INC ( Indian Natioanl Congress) or Congress(I): 75 to 85

NCP ( Nationalist Congress Party)  : 55 to 65

Shiv Sena: 55 to 65

BJP  (Bharatiya Janata Party) : 45 to 55

And MNS is likely to get 8 to 12 seats

Elections  to Arunachal Pradesh and Haryana  assembly were also held simultaneously along with maharastra on 13th October 2009.
