Medical and Dental colleges new fee structure | Small hike in the existing fee and is enforced from 2010-11 academic year

The state government has taken the decision on the fee structure for the under graduate courses of medical and dental colleges.  There is a small hike in the fees from this academic year in private medical and dental colleges.  There is a hike of Rs.5,000  on the existing fee for A category seats in MBBS, BDS of non minority and minority colleges.  Government has issued orders deciding the new fee structure on Tuesday, as per the recommendations of fee monitoring committee.  But the government has followed the same pattern as of previous year for government medical and dental colleges.  Rs.10,000 for medical and Rs.9,000 for dental coursed remain the same for government colleges.  This fee structure will come into force for 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 academic years.

For A category MBBS seats the fee is fixed at Rs.60,000 as against Rs.55,000 till previous year. The fees for B category seats are Rs.2.40 lakhs.  The fees for C category MBBS seats are Rs.5.50 lakhs and Rs.45, 000 for A category BDS seats.  Rs.1.30 lakh fees will be collected for ‘B’ category BDS seats and Rs.2.50 lakh for  C category BDS seats in non minority colleges.

In minority colleges fee for  A category MBBS seats is Rs.60,000 as against Rs.55,000 and for B category seats the fee is decided as Rs.6 lakhs. The fee for A category BDS seats is decided as Rs.45, 000 and Rs.2.27 lakhs for B category seats.
