Mile stones of Sachin Tendulkar | Yearwise Sachin’s Records : Every year, there are some or the other records and highlights, since from the arrival of Sachin to international Cricket.

1973:   Sachin’s birthday on 24th April

1988-89:  Century in the debut match of first class cricket. Record set up a youngest player in the    debut match with a century. Played for Mumbai against Gujarat in the Ranji trophy.

1989:   Test debut in 16 years itself. First test in Karachi against Pakistan. First ODI against    Pakistan in December 1989.

1990:   Unbeaten first test century against England held at Old Trafford.

1992:   First foreign player for Yorkshire team.

1994:   After 79 matches, first century in ODI against Sri Lanka at Colombo.

1996:   Highest runs record in world cup, held in the sub continent, with 523 runs. Captaincy    responsibilities for the first time.

1997:   Wisden ‘Cricketer of the year’.

1998:   First double century. Against Australia at Brabourne stadium for Mumbai team.

1999:   Highest partnership in one days along with Dravid (339 runs). Highest individual score of   186* in this match against New Zealand.

2001:   Banned for one match for the accession of Ball tampering.  Ban was cancelled after    enquiry by ICC.

2003:   Selected as ‘Player of the tourney’ in world cup. Highest runs in the world cup (673).

2005:   35th century in test matches. Broke the record of highest test centuries set up by Sunil    Gavaskar. Against Sri Lanka at Delhi.

2006:   Broke the record of playing for India for highest number of test matches which was set    up by Kapil Dev.

2007, Jan 3:  Broke the record of highest test runs at foreign (5,751) which was set up by Brain Lara. 2007, June:  Set up record by scoring 15, 000 runs in the ODI. Against South Africa at Belfast.

2008, March:  Set up record as the highest ODI player by playing 417 ODIs.

October, 17:  Broke the record of highest runs in the test cricket of 11, 953 runs set up by Brian Lara.    At an individual score of 16 in the first innings of second test against Australia.

2010, Feb 24: Setup new record of highest individual runs in a innings in ODI of 200*. Against South    Africa in second ODI held at Gwalior.
