Notification for admissions into NCHMCT
The popular course which is gaining demand is B.Sc in hospitality and hotel administration. Candidates who complete intermediate with English as one of the subjects can apply for this course. Candidates related to any field like science, commerce, technology etc are eligible for the course. Candidates studying senior intermediate can also apply. The age limit is 22 years and there is age relaxation of 3 years for SC and ST candidates.
Joint Entrance Exam is conducted for the admissions into the degree courses every year. Nearly, 7000 seats are filled through this exam. There are 180 seats in the institute in Hyderabad. The notification is released recently and candidates who attend the exam and qualify the exam successfully are given seats through counseling. The online campus counseling is conducted in 11 centers in India and this counseling is conducted in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.
There are campus placements for the candidates who complete this course and IHM students are being give importance in recruitments by various organizations like resorts, conference halls, amusement parks, service apartments, casinos, cruise ships, airlines, motels, spas, guest houses, Indian railways etc.

Number of star hotels in the cities is increasing everyday and multinational companies are also entering this field along with National companies. According to the survey of Indian Tourism, 40.4 lakh tourists had visited India last year and this number may reach one crore this year. There are national tourists in large number apart from the foreign tourists. The number of rooms available for the tourists in India is 1,10,000 but 1,50,000 rooms are additionally required. This situation is explaining the need and demand of hotel industry in India. Hotel projects are coming up in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi and Visakhapatnam. These are the good signs for the development of the tourism and management departments. There are many opportunities for the people who complete hotel management courses.
