Notification for Management Aptitude and Skills Test has been released | Eligibility, application procedure, exam pattern of MAST

Management Aptitude and Skills Test is a test that is useful for MBA students and the companies that recruit the students.  This test is introduced by All India Management Association (AIMA).  MAST is going to be held for the first time in February, 2011.  It would be easy for the companies to filter management candidates basing on the scores of the candidates in MAST.  Candidates also can analyze their capacity and aptitude for management career.

Total number of business schools in India is more than 2,000.  Every year nearly 3 lakh management candidates are graduating from management schools.  It is becoming difficult for the companies to filter so many candidates.  MAST test is designed keeping in view the requirements of the industry.  MAST tests the skills that companies look for in a candidate while recruiting fresh candidates.  So this test will be beneficial for the companies.

MAST lets the students analyze their capacities and draw backs.  Accordingly they can improve themselves.  MAST makes available the details of the candidates and their scores to the companies that have registered their names.  Therefore it is easy for the candidates to be in the good books of companies with good score in MAST.  Top level management colleges generally organize campus placements.  Second grade and third grade business schools that do not have this capacity get benefit from MAST.

Presently more than two hundred companies have agreed to take the MAST score into consideration while recruiting management candidates.  Deloitte, Dabur, MetLife India, Idea Cellular, Camlin, Alembic, HLL, Pfizer, Parle, PWC India, Tata Communications and other companies are considering MAST score for recruitments.
