It is the time for recruitment of constables. Recruitment for 4066 CRPF posts, 850 Indo Tibetan border police force posts, 56 CRPF Constable driver posts, 772 CISF constable driver posts is going to be held soon. Let us know how to prepare for these tests.

Defense is one of the important services of central government. Presently, there is an opportunity to join as constables in the southern sector (Hyderabad) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Candidate who have completed tenth class or matriculation and have good physical structure along with hard working attitude and self confidence and who are in between the age group of 18 to 23 years can apply for these jobs. Test will be conducted only in the medium of English and Hindi.

Male candidates need to have at least 170cms height while it is 157cms in the case of women candidates. In the running race, 5kms distance has to be completed in 24 minutes by male candidates and 1.6kms has to be completed in 8.30 minutes by women candidates. In the regard of long jump and high jump, one needs to show talent in the respective norms.

How many posts are there?

i)                    Constable or General Duty (male) in CRPF has 4066 posts in it. Of them, there are 2526 vacancies for male candidates and 79 vacancies for female candidates pertaining to Andhra Pradesh.

Last date for sending the filled in application forms is 25th august. Date of written test is 28th November. For more details, visit the site www. crpf.gov.in

Written test procedure: Total question paper will be in objective method. 10 questions will be there for 100 marks. Duration of the time is 2 hours.

ii)                  Indo Tibetan border police force: Number of vacancies are 850. The number of vacancies allotted for Andhra Pradesh are 82. Filled in application forms have to be submitted before 22nd September. More information can be got at www. crpf.nic.in Total examination will be in objective method, for 100 marks.

iii) Constables or drivers in CRPF

Number of vacancies for male candidates is 56.

Open rally will be conducted at group center, CRPF, Hakimpet, Secunderabad for the recruitment of these jobs. Recruiting day is 1st September. Candidates need to have heavy vehicle driving license. Candidate should pass the driving test conducted at the time of recruitment.

Duration of the test is one and half hour. It will be for 100 marks in part-1 and part-2 combined. Part -2 will be in description method. Essay writing, letter writing, general awareness and environment related questions will be present.

iv)                CISF Constables or drivers. There are 772 number of vacancies for male candidates.

Candidates should have passed 10th class and should have driving license. Age should be in between 20 to 25 years. Prescribed height is 167cms minimum and should complete running of 800meters in 3.15minutes. Last date to send applications is 24th august. More details can be obtained from www. cisf.nic.in

Applicant should be scoring at least fifty percent marks in light and heavy vehicle driving tests. Motor mechanism knowledge and ability to do minor repairs, will also be tested for 20 marks and the remaining 80 marks will be for written test. At least fifty percent marks have to be scored in both of these tests.

How to prepare for these tests?

The exam pattern for all these tests will be alike. Five divisions will be present in the question paper.

General Knowledge: Questions will be asked in the level of tenth standard. Capitals of different nations, capitals of different states in our country, important dates, important books- their authors, instruments that are useful scientifically, different branches of science – research topics, cities that are on the banks of rivers, important geographical aspects are to be studied. Organizations, sports, awards, prizes that have got international fame, governors, chief ministers and others are to be focused.

General Awareness: Primary level questions will be asked from the Indian history. Topics on Chief ministers, governors of Indian political system, recently amended salary ranges will be covered.

For general science topics, for details of diseases, vitamins, science and technology topics, high school level text books will be of much use.

Basic mathematics: Candidate can prepare in the level of tenth standard on the topics of trigonometry, matrices, square roots, cube roots, simplifications, sets and relations and others.

Analytical ability, aptitude: In this division, questions related to mental ability will be present. It gives the information of candidate’s mental condition, thinking capacity and ability. Verbal and non verbal reasoning should be practiced. Percentages, loss or gain, ratio-proportion, average, ages, rate of interests, calendar, clocks and other topics will be covered. For practicing these types of questions, RRB, Staff Selection Commission questions papers can be referred.

English: Questions on this topic will be in the standard of tenth class. Mainly, synonyms, antonyms, verbs, question tags and tenses will be asked. For answering these questions, it is enough to practice grammar till tenth class level.
