Death certificate in Arunachal Pradesh can be obtained for any person who dies in the state. Additional District Registrar of Death or District Statistical Officer at district level are the concerned authorities for issuing death certificates in Arunachal Pradesh. Administrative officers act as Registrars of death at circle and sub divisional levels.

The procedure for obtaining death certificate in Itanagar, Bondila, Bhismaknagar in Arunachal Pradesh is that the family member or any informer shall report the death to the Birth and Death Registration Office. Death occurred shall be reported within one month on a plain application form. The application shall be forwarded by Anchal Samiti member/Gaon Bura/Gazetted officer of any HoD with seal. Form No.2 is the prescribed application form for obtaining death certificate in Arunachal Pradesh. Medical certificate need to be submitted if the death is reported after one month and before one year from the date of occurring. Along with the medial certificate, affidavit is also to be submitted if the death is reported after one year.

Documents required for obtaining death certificate in Arunachal Pradesh are the application form in Form Bo.2 and the medical certificate or declaration of death issued by a doctor. If the death is reported within one month, Rs. 5 will be charged, Rs. 10 will be charged after one month and after one year, Rs. 15 will be charged as fee for issuing death certificate.
