Obtain domicile certificate in Goa

 

Domicile certificate or residence certificate is a document that is issued to prove that the applicant is a resident of the state or union territory.  This certificate would be needed to avail benefits offered by educational institutions and government jobs. In Goa domicile certificates are issued to applicants by District Magistrate.

For obtaining domicile certificate in Mapusa, Margao, Panaji in Goa, the applicant need to submit his application in prescribed format to the District Magistrate.

Document that would be needed to be submitted along with the application for obtaining domicile certificate in Goa are the residence certificate issued by the Mamlatdar, birth certificate and copy of the ration card.  Applicants who are born outside Goa but are citizens of Goa shall submit an affidavit to that effect.
