Obtain driving licence in Rajasthan

 

Driving licence is an important document that is required for driving motor vehicles in public places in India. Driving licence in Rajasthan can be obtained from the licensing authority in place where the applicant is residing, carrying his business or in the place where the driving school in which the applicant is learning driving is located.

The procedure of obtaining driving licence in Jaipur, Udaipur and Bikaner in Rajasthan is as follows. The applicant will have to obtain learning licence first and permanent learning licence can only be obtained one month after taking the learning licence. To obtain permanent driving licence in Rajasthan, application in Form 4 has to be submitted to the concerned licensing authority by personally going to the office along with the following documents.

  • Original learning licence
  • Recent passport size photographs – 3 nos
  • Prescribed fee
  • Prescribed driving test fee

The driving licence applicant would present before the authority who will conduct the driving test, and the persons who pass in the test will be issued the driving licence in Rajasthan. Those who fail in the driving test can reappear for the test after seven days. After three such attempts, the candidate will only be allowed to appear for the driving test after 60 days from the date of appearing for the test.

Duplicate driving licence

In case of theft, loss or defacing of driving licence, a duplicate licence can be obtained from the licensing authorities in Rajasthan. The application shall be submitted along with three recent passport photographs, prescribed fee etc. After scrutinizing the documents, the applicant will be issued the duplicate licence by the licensing authority.
