Obtaining Driving Licence in Chhattisgarh

 

Any person who is fit to drive a vehicle in public places can apply and obtain driving licence in Chhattisgarh. It is recommended to apply for learners’ licence first and then take the regular driving licence.

Learners’ licence

Learners’ licence in Chhattisgarh can be obtained for a period of six months. Registering and Licensing authorities in Chhattisgarh including in Raipur, Bilaspur and Durg are the offices that should be approached to obtain learners’ licence. Application for learners’ licence should be submitted in form 2, which is for renewal or grant of learner’ licence.

Regular Driving Licence

Regular Driving Licence in Chhattisgarh can be obtained by all the medically fit persons. The documents that should support the application are the –

  • Medical Form 1
  • Proof of Age which can be Xerox copy of tenth class certificate or any other document that show the date of birth
  • ID-card or ration card or telephone bill or electricity bill as proof of residence
  • Learners’ licence in original and two passport size photographs are also to be submitted.

The application submitted by the candidates in Chhattisgarh for obtaining driving licence is checked by the officials along with the documents submitted and if everything is in order, applicant will be called for a driving test. Motor vehicles inspector would conduct the driving test in Chhattisgarh and if the candidate is successful in test, he will be issued the driving certificate.
