Written test for Paramedical jobs recruitment
Â Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to introduce written exam for recruitment of paramedical posts in Department of medicine and health. Department of medicine and health is going to fill up 9,717 vacancies of Lab technicians, nurses, pharmacists in primary health centres and health assistants in rural areas in February, 2012. Till now the posts were recruited based on the marks the candidates secures in related course. In this method, candidates with higher marks are getting the jobs in without any training. Few institutes have issued certificates at will for multipurpose health assistant jobs and this has created a controversy. Deciding a minimum educational qualification for the post of multipurpose health assistant jobs has become a headache for Department of medical health. Many cases were also filed in the courts.
The department of medical and health has decided to take into consideration various judgements of the court and decide minimum educational qualification for paramedical posts. They have also decided to take the help of judiciary in this matter if required. Government has decided to conduct a written test for the recruitment of paramedical jobs and fill the jobs based on the ranks secured by the candidates.
Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to give the responsibility of deciding the syllabus and conducting the written test to Paramedical Board for filling up the posts of multipurpose health assistant, lab technicians, pharmacists, staff nurses and ophthalmologist assistants. Officials have informed that a question bank will be created with the questions and answers related to various departments and written exam will be conducted based on that to avoid controversies. The decision about this will be taken by the end of January, 2012 and the notification for paramedical posts will be issued for recruitment of various category posts in the second week of February, 2012.
