K.T. Paul was a Christian leader during the time of Gandhiji. He participated in the national movement actively. He influenced other Christians to participate in the freedom movement. K T Paul was born on 24th March, 1876 in Salem, Tamil Nadu. That was the time when educated Indians were participating in freedom movement under the leadership of Indian national congress. At that time Paul completed his Law course and joined as a lecturer in Christian College.

K T Paul wanted to establish Christian missionaries all over India. He was selected as General Secretary for YMCA in 1914. He was against of the social problems and bad customs being followed in India. He worked hard for the reconstruction of society. K T Paul tried to change the traditional caste system in India through the method of Christianity. He made adult education and rural construction popular in the society.

K T Paul wanted all the people of India to be united for the safety of India. He inspired the Christian leaders and he wanted to have representative on behalf of Indian Christians. He gave a speech in Round Table Conference in 1930 on behalf of Indian Christian Association. He worked along with national political parties for freedom of India and also for the development of society. K T Paul was the person who spread nationalism in the Christian society.

K T Paul spread the feeling of nationality among people. He argued that there should be a special place for Christian in Government departments. Paul was recognized by various religions of the society as a person who was bound by national integration. K T Paul died on 11th April, 1931,
