Petrol rates…. What happens if control on petrol rates removed? | Sales tax on petroleum in different states

Increase in petrol rates increase the income for government| Increase in income by 300 crores

There is an increase in the petrol rates and this is bad news for the people. It is good news for the government as the income tax on the petrol increases. It is profitable for the state government as the rates are increased by the central government. Andhra Pradesh is in the first position in reducing the tax on the sale of petrol and it did not reduce the gas rates like other states. 4% tax is being paid on the gas cylinders and 6 thousand crores of income is coming to Andhra Pradesh in the form of tax on the petroleum products. Due to increased rates, this income is increased by 300 crores.

Removing the control on petrol rates:

The government had removed the controlling of petrol rates. If the oil rates are increased, the oil companies can increase the petrol rates. In the future, the government is trying to remove the control over diesel rates also. The petrol rates will increase where ever there is a change in the usage of the petrol. The gas and kerosene subsidies will continue under the guidance of the government.
