Procedure to apply MAT Examination | Comparing with ICET Vs MAT

There are many recognized institutions that offer admissions into MBA through MAT and many institutes are affiliated to this university. Before joining into any college through MAT it is very essential to enquire about the details like faculty, placement and library and many more.

The students had to apply for MBA based on the score secured in MAT and the selection procedure is conducted by group discussions and interviews by many colleges.

Examination pattern

* The question paper contains Five sections with five different types of topics. The topics are Analytical ability, General Awarness, Mathematical Ability, Language comprehension and Quantitative ability.
* It has 200 questions in total from the above topics. Each of the above topic may consist of 40 questions and in the model question paper of the year 2009 December all the questions are given directly without any sections.
* There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every one wrong answer and the duration of the exam is two and half hours.

Comparing with ICET Vs MAT

ICET is essential entrance exam to join into MBA course in the state of Andhra Pradesh and there is a lot of different between ICET which is conducted in AP and MAT which is a national level examination. Both these exams concentrates on the candidates Reasoning, English and Mathematical Abilities. By keeping in view the small differences in the pattern of examination, the candidates can prepare for Both ICET and MAT simultaneously.

The comprehension passages in the MAT exam consists of 800 words where as in ICET it is only 300 and the graph analysis is a bit difficult in the exam and there is a negative marking in MAT which is not there in ICET.

Procedure to apply MAT Examination

The notification is released for MAT on February and the students who qualified in any degree or engineering are eligible to apply and students who are perusing final year are also eligible. The students has to apply both in online or offline and even can get the applications from any AIMA study center and the address of the study center in India is Badhruka college of Information technology, Hyderabad. The students can even apply from Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and Hyderabad through Canara bank branches.
