QUANTITATIVE ABILITY division of CAT entrance test | How to prepare for QUANTITATIVE ABILITY section of CAT exam

More questions can come from Arithmetic, Number systems, Algebra, Sets and Permutations and Combinations.  Recently more questions are coming from Geometry and Algebra than in Arithmetic.  Basics of the candidates are tested in Quantitative Ability.  The important topics in Number system will be Divisibility rules, finding out Unit digit, Base Systems, L.C.M etc.

Questions from System of equations, Inequalities, Modulus Function, Maxima, Minima, Periodic Iterative Functions, Progressions and Quadratic Equations can come in Algebra. Concentrate on Similarity of Triangles, Circles and Mensuration in Geometry.  Questions on Sets in Higher Mathematics are coming regularly in the exam.  Permutations and Combinations chapter is also important.
