Queens University Belfast (QUB) of North Ireland is inviting Indian students to their University.  This is a good opportunity for Indian Students.  Queens is a traditional University.  The expenses are also less when compared to other areas.  This University is recently recognized as ‘Entrepreneurial University’ by Times Higher Education. Entrepreneurship is main subject in the curriculum of various courses offered by this university.

Queens India Welcome Scheme is meant to heartily welcome Indian Students.  It is started three years ago.  This has been started to admit eligible students from India.  In the beginning Bengal Engineering and Science University was invited to be partner in various projects of three week duration in Electronics, Communication and IT areas.  Invitations were also sent to JNE, Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Madras Christian College and University of Hyderabad.  Under Indian Lecture Series many prominent academicians like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Professor Romilla Thaper, Deepak Nayyar, Rajeev Bhargava, Harish Trivedi and Gautam Desiraju were invited.

This university is also offering Split Site PhD program in National and International research projects. As part of this, students and staff of Queens University are sent to the Universities and reputed organizations who are partners of the university n India.  Scholarship programs of all the divisions and schools of this University are available in their websites.  Students are given admission basing on their talent and the project.  Foreign students have a chance to study various courses like Cancer Research, Vascular Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering (Arsenic related specialization), Studies in India, Historical Geography, Music Technology (Sonic Arts Center), Mechanical, Chemical, Aeronautical Engineering, Plasma Physics Scientific Archeology, Politics and International Relations, Drama, Languages and Performing arts and English Literature.  Introduction programs are conducted for international students to understand the life style and culture of North Ireland. Accommodation for these students is arranged at Elms Village Court.  Indian students and faculty can participate in various cultural programs conducted here.
