Railways to fill backlog posts in six months | Alchiki express train inaugurated on 06.10.2010

Two lakh backlog posts in Railways are to be filled in the coming six months.  The process of recruitment for the third class employees has already been initiated, the Railway minister has announced.  Railway Minister laid foundation stone for the Proto Typing and Advance Loco Pilot training institutes on 06.10.2010.  ‘Alchiki’ Express train was also inaugurated.  Various types of Transport wagons are going to be built in the Prototyping center which is going to be constructed with Rs.117 crores.  Anti collision device is almost ready to be arranged in the trains.  Railway Minister has also mentioned that Railway has incurred a loss of Rs. 500 to Rs.1,000 crore due in the last two years because of bandhs and railrokos.  She said that it is becoming impossible to introduced high speed train because of bandhs.  Railway projects in Maoist affected Lalgadh will be taken up only after prevailing of normal conditions.  Railways have tied up with Kharagpur IIT to set up a Railway Research center.
