Fish curry, fish fry etc are liked by many people. But preparing the same takes a lot of time.  It would be very convenient if they can be cooked like an instant soup to match the busy life style. Now, it is possible to eat fish like alu chips or Kurkure.  Fish Kheema can also be eaten placing it between two breads.

Many shopping malls are selling fishes at freezing point in packets.  In addition to this scientists are inventing new products.  Central Institute of Fisheries technology, an affiliated organization of Indian Council of Agriculture Research is manufacturing these products.  If these could be marketed properly, it will be beneficial for the business groups, business men and fisheries industry.  These readymade fish products were exhibited by the scientists of CIFT from Kochi and Mumbai in a seminar held at Visakhapatnam.

Scientists have developed ready to eat fish curry which makes it possible even for the army at the borders to eat rice with fish curry.  Ready to eat fish curry packed in air tight aluminum foil packets contain ingredients like fish, salt, chilli powder, curry leaves, tamarind, masala powder and oil in powder form.  This packet has to be placed in boiling water for 5 minutes.  Tear the pack after five minutes and the curry will be ready.  CIFT, Kochi has developed a snack like ‘Kurkure’ with fish.  Mumbai scientists have developed fish kheema made with thorn less fishes.  This product can be heated and placed between breads.  Raw shell fish paste if developed which is helpful for prevention of joint pains and other diseases.  Dry fish with more food values are also will be supplied in quality packing.
