  • The documents of the land/property that is to be registered as presented to the Sub-registrar of the jurisdiction.  After verifying the document, the sub-registrar determines the classification of documents, reviews and valuates the property, calculates the stamp duty, transfer duty, miscellaneous fees and registration fee.  If the stamp duty is not sufficient, the executor will be informed of the same.  The certification of documents is done before two witnesses and sub-registrar.  The document is copies in the register books.  Copies are posted to accounts and reports by name and property.  Then the original documents of land/property are returned to the citizen.
