Novel writer Mainampati Bhaskar Rao is saying that the story of sensational hit movie ‘Robo’ is written by him. He says that this movie has been developed using his science fiction novel ‘Buddijeevi’ released in the year 1984. In this context, Bhaskar Rao has sent legal notices to writer and director of ‘Robo’ movie Shankar, producer Kalanithi Maran and production house Sun Pictures on 27th October 2010. Many readers who have read this novel twenty five years back and have remembered now, have informed Bhaskar Rao personally and on phone.

Bhaskar Rao watched the movie ‘Robo’ and has confirmed that the story of his novel has been used for this movie. He says that ‘Buddajeevi’ novel has won  first prize in the scientific novels competition conducted by ‘Andhra Jyothy’ at that time. This novel has been printed as a book in the year 1984 by Navasahiti publications. A scientist creating a robo with similar features as like him, robot loving the girl friend of the scientist, differences between scientist and robot, robot turning in to evil force and creating hurdles, and at the last robot dismantling itself……….all such aspects of the movie are taken from this novel, as said by Mainampati Bhaskar Rao. Based on the ‘Vennelametlu’ novel written by Bhaskar Rao, a movie called ‘Aruna  Kiranam’ starring Rajasekhar and Vijayasanthi has been created. It has been released in the year 1986 and  has won copper Nandi award in the category of best movie. Mainampati has written 30 novels and several stories.
