Selection process for MBBS in AFMC is done based on written exam, interview, medical exam and physical test.
Written exam for MBBS in AFMC
Written exam is conducted for 200 marks and it will be in objective type. Students should answer 200 questions in two hours of time and each question will carry one mark. There is negative marking and every wrong answer is deducted by 1/3rd mark. Questions will be based on biology, physics and chemistry in CBSE 10+2 syllabus. Questions will be asked on intelligence, logic and reasoning, English language and comprehension. Examination centers in Andhra Pradesh are Secunderabad, Golconda in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
Interview in AFMC exam
Interview will be conducted in Armed forces medical college in Pune and it is conducted for the candidates who qualify in written exam.
Application process for MBBS in AFMC
Students can get the applications and prospectus from the general/ central/ main post offices which are recognized by AFMC. Applications are available from December 20th, 2010 to January 31st, 2011. Applications are available in GPO in Hyderabad and in HPO in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Application can be downloaded from college website and a DD of amount Rs.250 should be paid on the name of AFMC, Pune in any national bank and student name along with registration number should be written on the back side of the DD. Application along with DD should be sent to the below address.
