Selection process of Pos | PO Test syllabus

POs Selection process:

The selection is based on written exam, group discussion, interviews and tire 1 objective test.

Tire -1:

This is for 135 minutes and 225 questions are asked.

Note:

They should obtain 40% marks in every category and 35% marks for SC, ST, OBC and PC

Candidates. They decide the cut off mark based on the group performance and there will be negative marking.

Tire 2 – objective and descriptive exam:

There will be reasoning, data analysis and interpretation and marketing knowledge in objective paper and for 2 hours. The descriptive exam is for 1 hour and it contains questions based on English. There will be four questions and we need to attempt three only. This is the eligibility test and they call three times more than the posts available for interview and group discussion.

Tire-3:

Group discussion and interview are conducted.

PO Test syllabus

Test of reasoning/ mental ability/ aptitude:

Verbal, number series, alphabet series, test of direction sense, coding –decoding, number ranking, arithmetical reasoning, problems on age calculations, blood relations, analogy, decision making non verbal, non verbal series, mirror images, cubes and dice, grouping identical figures, embedded figures.

Quantitative aptitude:

Number system, HCF, LCM, simplification, decimal fraction, ratio and proportion, unitary method percentage, time and distance, time and work, profit and loss, average, simple and compound interest, algebra and data interpretation.

English:

Verbs, adverbs, subject verb agreement, error corrections, tenses, sentence rearrangement, fill in the blanks with models, articles, comprehension, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms.

General awareness:

Present topics, main financial/economic news, budget, five year plans, who is who, sports, books – authors, awards and honors, science- developments, abbreviations, important dates, national and international companies.

Note:

Almost every bank will ask questions from these topics and there is no restriction that they should follow this syllabus. The syllabus for SBI, bank of Baroda, Allahabad bank, corporation bank, etc is same. There will be changes in the duration and question paper.
